  8. This archive contains the complete set of 1100 Fish Disks  plus over 500
  9. additional  releases made by  Fred  Fish.  The  database contains nearly
  10. 5200  records split into three files that easily  fit on multiple floppy
  11. disks (if so desired); if stored on multiple volumes or on a single hard
  12. disk, KingFisher transparently accesses the files as one database.
  13.  
  14. This archive  does NOT contain KingFisher itself (the software.) This is
  15. the database that you need only download if you  have a very old copy or
  16. if you are  installing  a new  copy of  KingFisher to  test and use. The
  17. complete set of KingFisher archives on Aminet are listed below:

  35. KINGFISHER 2 FEATURE OVERVIEW:
  36.  
  37.   - Client-Server technology provides multiple users (or multiple copies
  38.     of  KingFisher) access to  multiple  databases, but does  not hinder
  39.     single-user operations,
  40.  
  41.   - KingFisher's resizable GadTools  interface  honors  the proportional
  42.     system font (or any font  of your choosing) and can be opened on the
  43.     default public, and on custom screens,
  44.  
  45.   - Search operations can  produce  Search Sets  which may be saved  and
  46.     reloaded, to  provide instant  access to any previously found record
  47.     in the database,
  48.  
  49.   - Database-specific  display, print,  and export  presentation formats
  50.     can be defined to produce any desired database presentation,
  51.  
  52.   - Hotlinked Product-Info files can be viewed directly;  updates to the
  53.     file are immediately  reflected by  KingFisher;  also view clipboard
  54.     contents directly,
  55.  
  56.   - Powerful search expressions, including embedded support for AmigaDOS
  57.     regular expressions, are maintained in  a history list whose size is
  58.     user-definable,  and each of which can be recalled for re-use at any
  59.     time,
  60.  
  61.   - Ability to reconstruct the index files and construct VersionLinks in
  62.     release-order to browse related software versions,
  63.  
  64.   - Through RexxFisher  (the  ARexx interface to the server)  the  user-
  65.     definable  data  presentation  formats  and the same powerful search
  66.     expressions used  by KingFisher are available to any program with an
  67.     ARexx interface!

  69. Registration for this software is $20(US)  or  DM30. Future upgrades are
  70. free (by way of Aminet or ftp.)  The developer kit is now available free
  71. of charge to registered and unregistered users alike.
